About Taylor Burns:      

 

 I was born and raised in Warren County, New Jersey, with my two beautiful sisters.  I am currently a student at Drew University in Madison, NJ but am transferring to the University of Kentucky for the first emester of 2014. I’ve been a huge fan of JMR since the beginning, and I feel so privileged to represent such a fantastic program! Noelle and everyone else working with Judge My Ride are remarkable people whom I now consider to be a part of my family. I’ve been riding since I was 7 years old. I remember begging and pleading with my parents to take lessons at a local barn. As my parents know practically nothing about the sport, they had no clue what they were getting themselves into. Since then, I’ve developed a passion for competition and working with these incredible animals. I currently ride and train at Ri-Arm Farm with Mark Leone, who is possibly the nicest man I have ever met. I am blessed with two beautiful horses, Jack and Charlie. Jack (True Confidence) is a 1998 OTTB; he took me from itty-bitty [2’3”] jumpers to level 3 [3’6”] and is without a doubt my best friend. Jack took care of me better than any human ever could. Unfortunately he is now retired due to EPM, but I still visit him whenever I can. Charlie (Cordero Zaffiro) came into my life in 2010 when he was 5 years old; he turns 8 on April 1st 2013. I am extremely impressed with his progress. I believe he is truly talented with a lot of success ahead of him. My goal is to qualify for Young Riders with him this year and I am confidant that he can help me get there. I typically go to most of the following competitions: Garden State, Old Salem, Lake Placid, HITS Saugerties, Vermont, Princeton, The Ridge, Sussex County Farm & Horse Show & the Hampton Classic. I may also visit HITS Culpeper and some additional random shows. If you want to know if I’ll be at any competition in particular, just ask! I am blessed to have many close friends and contacts in the equestrian sport and plan to share this with all of you! I also became an official JustWorld ambassador in February of 2013, which, along with representing Judge My Ride, is tremendously exciting!
