Hayward and Houndstooth

 

Grand Prix Dressage rider Stephanie Hartigan has a great sense of fashion and fun. So when we showed her these houndstooth pants from our friends at Loudmouth Golf she lit up!  She immediately "got" what we were going for.  We have a tradition at Style My Ride of finding apparel from outside the mainstream equestrian fashion world to pair with equestrian staples.  Not because we are suggesting anyone should compete in these looks, but to have fun with fashion of course!  Other times we are just saying "someone please make breeches like these!"  These "Oakmont" houndstooth golf pants from Loudmouth golf add fun and flair to the classic combination of Stephanie's traditional black and white coat, shirt and boots.  Her stock tie, from Equistyle Quality Stocks (Australia), is interchangeable; it is shown here in a black velvet with a toile band. The velvet clip of the stock tie perfectly accents her beautiful Hayward show coat with its velvet lapel, piped in silver, silver buttons and black velvet pockets.

 
Of course, no riding outfit is complete without riding boots. Stephanie’s custom Vincerò Dressage boots in brushed black feature a custom Alligator top.   Stephanie poses with Zone 4 Eventer Victoria Carroll, who also wears a beautiful Hayward coat and Vincerò boots in brushed navy with a navy interchangeable Alligator top (details on Victoria's full look here)
